KOTA KINABALU, Dec 9, 2019:
Parti Bersatu Sabah launched its new division on the newly added state seat, Limbahau, on Sunday.
The DUN 27 seat, to be led by PBS Vice President Datuk Johnny Mositun, will have 22 branches.
"PBS, traditionally, has a strong following in the polling districts in the new constituency, and we are well prepared to take on any other political party whenever an election is held," said PBS President Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.
He noted that since the new government took over, no new good thing has been achieved, both in the federal and state levels.
" It's a saga of broken promises, economic downturn, economic and policy uncertainty, political and leadership instability due to infighting in the Pakatan Harapan coalition, domination and damnation by illegal immigrants and many more.
"There is total frustration, disappointment and anger among the rakyat, as proven by the recent Tanjung Piai by-election," he said.
Back home, Ongkili said that PBS has been very vocal on pertinent issues, especially on its struggle to uphold promises enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and to flush illegal immigrants out of Sabah.
"We also made a strong stand to oppose the government's proposed plan to issue Sabah Temporary Pass (PSS), that would benefit some 600,000 foreigners in Sabah.
"It will institutionalise the illegal immigrants in Sabah, and we fear , eventually making them Permanent Residents and citizens of Sabah. We must defend Sabah from intruders and foreign domination by illegals," he said.
At the event, Ongkili also received the membership forms from nearly 500 members, coming from different political parties and ethnicity.
