Programmes planned to mark PBS 35th anniversary on Mar 5

PENAMPANG, Mar 3, 2020:

A town hall session with some 100 youths from all over Sabah are among the programmes to commemorate Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) 35th anniversary this year.


To be held from 8am to 1pm on March 5 at the Hakka Hall in Likas, Kota Kinabalu, the programme to be officiated by the PBS Youth Chief, Christopher Mandut, will among others deliberate on the future direction of PBS, the role of youths in politics and current political issues. 


Among the panelists for the event are PBS Information Chief and Kiulu Assemblyman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, PBS Women Chief Datin Malianah Ugau and PBS Youth Deputy Chief, Jonnybone Kurum, and to be moderated by Mandut.


PBS Deputy President Datuk Seri Radin Malleh will close the event. 


According to PBS Secretary General Datuk Jahid Jahim, apart from the town hall session, the party's Women Wing will also be organising the Jalinan Bersatu briefing and workshop at PBS headquarters at Donggongon in the afternoon.

"This event, which is jointly conducted by Malianah and PBS Deputy Secretary-General cum Matunggong Assemblywoman Julita Majungki, will be participated by PBS women divisional leaders from across the state," he said.


Speaking after chairing the PBS 35th anniversary organising committee meeting at the party's headquarters, here, today, he said a friendly golf is also scheduled tomorrow (Mar 4), ahead of the annual anniversary dinner, to be held at the Hakka Hall at 7pm on May 5 .


PBS President Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili will grace the dinner, which will be attended by some 600 party officials from all PBS divisions across the state.


The Party's Premier Advisor Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan and wife, Puan Sri Genevieve Kitingan, are special guests to the golf and dinner events.
